It was quick and convenient to enroll, and a fantastic value, but SECGTO stands out because of the warm and experienced professionals who run the school, providing personal attention, a supportive atmosphere, and well-designed curricula.
Classes and conversations were dynamic and engaging, drawing on a variety of teaching methods and grammatical content that were well-matched to my level and what I needed in order to improve. Each day I had “aha” moments as concepts I had previously struggled with were explained in new ways with examples I could immediately apply. In addition, Javier, Rojelio, and Beto went above and beyond all expectations with their generosity and commitment to helping students get the most from our experience, both in the classroom and outside of it (personal favorite: la cajeta de nuez y de guayaba!). If you’ve never been to Guanajuato, it’s a unique and beautiful city with so much to offer – an ideal place to explore and enjoy while learning Spanish.
